Last and Longest Chapter of the Book!!
I had absolutely no desire to go to the office today.
Did I tell you how I am so proud of my Wife? Rhea has started her studies again?
My footsteps echoed through the silent corridor as I made my way toward the torture room of my warehouse.
I shivered as I stepped out of the car, holding Aarush closer in my arms.
"Rhea, how about we go for a trip?" Rhea, who was doing her little night routine in front of the dressing table, looked at me through the mirror.
"Happy birthday, my Baba!!!" I exclaimed as soon as I entered my room and found my baby awake, standing on his own feet, holding onto the wooden rails of the cot.
It's been one and a half months since the incident, and Rhea still couldn't shake that day from her mind.
I had ordered everyone that Rhea should not see any of this. I knew she would be watching the drama unfold on the CCTV out of curiosity.
I couldn't comprehend what was happening, and it was all so sudden.
I stepped out of the closet after changing, and there was Rhea, sitting on the bed beside Aarush, gently stroking his sleeping head.
As soon as the bullets started raining down, Arjun and I instinctively shielded ourselves and ran inside the warehouse to take cover.
The night was thick with an eerie silence as Aarav drove through the dense, shadowy forest.
"Hame aapse kuch baat karni hai" I said when I saw Aarav coming out of the bathroom.
There was a spare brush in the bathroom, new and packed, along with other toiletries. After freshening up and changing, I stepped out.
Please note that in this point of view, the song "O Saathi" isn't being sung by Aarav; rather, imagine it as the background music.
I was organising the neatly folded clothes in the closet, both Aarav's and mine.
