I had absolutely no desire to go to the office today. In fact, I've been working from home for the past six months, ever since I found out about Rhea's pregnancy. I didn't want to leave Rhea alone, not even for a moment. Yes, I would step out occasionally if something important or urgent came up, like today.
Just as I closed the car door, I heard a familiar voice call out, "Paapaaa!" I turned around to see Aarush running toward me with a cheeky grin on his face, a ball clutched in his tiny hands. He was on the porch, his little feet moving as fast as they could.
"Nani-mai, papa ke pass da lala hu," he said in his babyish voice, struggling to pronounce the words properly.
(Nani- I am going to Papa)
Behind him stood Rhea's mother, probably running after this little troublemaker, but now she simply smiled at me, as if saying, 'He's all yours now.'
